Klamath Falls - Whitewater Rafting
Home to several Class IV rapids, the Upper Klamath River is known for some of the best spring and summer rafting in the state; because of steady water releases from the J.C. Boyle Dam and Powerhouse, the river could theoretically be run year-round, but the best weather for being on the water is May-October. In the middle five miles of the Upper Klamath, there are 19 rapids rated class III or higher; Caldera and Hells Corner are rated class IV+ to V, depending on water levels. Most trips are one to three days. Listed below are companies that offer rafting, kayaking and/or canoeing trips and that rent equipment to help you get onto this world-class whitewater.
