Leave busy I-5 behind once you cross the Oregon border and enjoy a leisurely sight-seeing drive along regional scenic byways. Take the Cow Creek Tour or the Myrtle Creek-Canyonville Tour, both starting north of Grants Pass and south of Roseburg, for a peaceful introduction to lush forests, farmland and mountain-fed springs, or check out some of Southern Oregon's best river and waterfall scenery on a route that takes in a stretch of the Rogue River and the Umpqua. These drives are all drivable in a day, but leave yourself an overnight in the area at least to allow for time to take some of it in on foot or from a boat.
