Mount Hood - Skiing / Snowboarding
Mount Hood is the home of Timberline Lodge and Ski Area, with the only year-round skiing option in North America and a lodge (built in 1937) designated as a National Historic Landmark. Additional ski areas on the mountain include Mount Hood Meadows , located on the sunny, wind-protected side of the mountain; Mount Hood Skibowl, the largest night skiing area in North America; and Summit Ski Area, the oldest ski area in the Pacific Northwest (established in 1927).
