Portland - Boating

In the Portland area, you can do some power boating right in the city on the Willamette, while the Portland Yacht Club has its headquarters in Northeast Portland on the Columbia.

But many recreational boaters head out to the Columbia River Gorge, where the broad Columbia plays host to waterskiing, sailing, sailboarding and more. For whitewater, head out to the Clackamas River. Those inclined toward leisurely sightseeing on the water might consider sternwheeler cruises on the Willamette and Columbia.

Boating guides and outfitters that lead trips or rent boats and other watercraft in the Portland area are listed below. Click on any name for more information.
