Umpqua River - Fishing

The North Umpqua is known as a prime area full of trout and salmon, but it can be a difficult river to fish: No boats are permitted for 15 miles in either direction of the town of Steamboat, and no bait or spinners are allowed on the 31-mile Wild and Scenic section. Thus, skillful fly-fishing is a must. Local outfitters can advise and guide you per the best fishing holes and flies.

Select Fishing Guides and Outfitters for a list of local fishing guides, bait shops, and suppliers in the area,
