Oregon Cascades - Fishing
Several Wild and Scenic-designated rivers run down the Cascades like blue ribbons, and hundreds of pristine lakes dot the range. Acclaimed North Cascades fisheries include the Clackamas and Salmon rivers (originating within Mount Hood National Forest), while just north of Crater Lake, Miller Lake has become one of the best brown trout fisheries in the state. In the east Cascades, the Deschutes River is a renowned sport fishery for steelhead and native rainbow trout. In the southwest section of the range, the North Umpqua and Rogue rivers are renowned for their anadromous fishing opportunities.
